The VITAL (Vehicle Integrated Total
ALert) Sound 1600 is an extremely powerful, compact system which provides 1600
watts RMS of audio power for clearly communicating warning tones or voice over
long distances.
The VS1600 is optimized for use in portable applications, including vehicle and
shipboard mounting. (ATI’s equivalent HPSS 1600 is available for permanent
mounting to fixed poles or structures.) A simple control panel allows the user
to select a variety of warning tones, play prerecorded messages or enable the
microphone to do live Public Address.

Standard Equipment
The first key component of the VS1600 is a custom
designed high output directional speaker head. It features an extended shroud to
project 1600 watts in the forward direction and reduce back spill.
The second key component is ATI’s highly efficient 1600 watt class D amplifier.
The amp unit is available in a stainless steel metal enclosure with standard AGM
lead acid batteries for operation independent of line power. Alternately, the
amp unit is available in two rugged “suitcase” enclosures with light weight
Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for a completely portable solution.
The VS1600 is available on a rigid frame for mounting on ships or the back of
vehicles.
Customers who desire a completely portable solution can choose the VS1600 in the
dual suitcase option. One case includes the amplifier with a control panel and
microphone. The second case includes light weight LifePo batteries which provide
at least 30 minutes of 1600 watt RMS tone or 3 to 4 hours of talk time in a
typical voice application. A folding tripod provides portable support for the
speaker head. |
